For clarity purposes, DTM Blog is now presently known as DTM Blog Classic while DTM's Twisted Blog of Randomness will be known as The Twisted Blog of DTM... provided I get around to changing the name any time soon.

I started a new affair yesterday during a dry period.
And with that, I'm "proud" to introduce the new DTM's Blog of Randomness, which is my all-new, leaner blog at Blogspot. Unofficially, it's called DTM Blog II: The Wrath of Crohn, but decided with the much happier, more ambiguous Blog of Randomness! Hooray!
What does this mean for DTM Blog?
Absolutely nothing, because there's no rule saying I can't have more than one blog.
But that doesn't answer my question, asshack!
Watch your mouth, boy! All will be explained in the coming weeks.

On Canada Day 2004, I debuted two new things; the then-new version of the DTM Webstation site called "Webstation Black". Which didn't last long.
Also on that day, I posted my first blog post ever, beginning a strange and interesting journey along the way that has resulted in a flucuating mind and really, really, REALLY nothing to show for it.
So as of today, DTM Blog is five years old. And unlike Wrestlemania's recent anniversary festivities, my math is accurate. I started in 2004 and we're in 2009. Hence, fifth anniversary.
As to whether I have anything special planned?
Not really, but some neat stuff is going to get done here, I assure you.
In the meantime, enjoy your Canada Day, kids. I know I will.
I'm having developmental problems with the blog. Apparently, when I click on one of the topic lists, no entries show up. I'd try and figure out the problem, but I'm too damn sick now. If anyone else has this same problem, let me know and I'll try and find out what's going on.

I had written a nice post yesterday about the Irate Gamer's latest episode (half a review of the SNES Aladdin game and half cheesy variety show), but alas the post didn't upload. Rather than repost the whole spiel, I'll just say this:
Mr. Bores, your production is fairly impressive by YouTube standards, but your actual reviewing skills leave much to be desired. It seems obvious to me that this show of yours is becoming more and more gimmicky each time (and to be fair, some could say the same about AVGN). Your NEO episodes are fairly close to the review style that is respectable, so try applying that type of effort into your original show and I'll be happy. Thanks.

HTML clipboardSome people have been wondering about where Spider-Man's whole year would fit; after all, he fell victim to lobotomization via the ridiculously insulting One More Day storyline and probably would have been a prime candidate to be this year's loser. The fact is that I want to give Spider-Man a break; while the storyline in particular has killed the character in my eyes (there is no possible way you can try and convince me that Spider-Man would make a deal with the fucking devil - no fucking way), I really don't feel like kicking him while he's down. Besides, I had already listed a wrestling disaster as a loser last year and felt it was a tad unfair. So let's cut him some slack... for now.
For those interested in my Mega-Reviews, I've left a link on the side bar so you can reach the main list and work from there instead of having to search through hundreds of random posts that buries it down the road. As more of these features become the norm, I'll be posting them on the side as well. It's not much at the moment, but it's a start.
A couple quick reviews have been written - mostly some older games, but classic games. They'll be posted within the next couple weeks, although they might be available on GameFAQS some time earlier than that. Click here for my page there.
Now back in May, I started an NES Retrospect feature on the Blog. As expected, it was supposed to last the month, but was quickly abandoned. I'm working on finishing off the series and hoping to post some entries within the next month. Bare with me.
So here's the deal. The countdown to 1000 begins and it's going to be a rushed affair. The idea is for this blog to hit quadruple digit posts before my birthday. Simple affair, right?
Here's the catch. My birthday's this coming Friday.

So expect a flurry of random posts... starting now.
It's stupid of me not to notice, but... as of July 1, 2008, this blog is currently in its fifth year of operation. So in essence, a milestone (as insignificant as it may be) has been reached.
Now to reach 1000 posts...
